European Wholesale Parts was born from a simple passion: European cars. In the early 1990s, Lee Shahin opened a European auto repair shop in Northern California, specializing in Mercedes-Benz, BMW, and other German-engineered vehicles. What started as a one-man operation quickly grew as word spread about Lee's honest approach, deep technical knowledge, and ability to source quality parts at fair prices.

As the business took off, Lee brought on his wife Laurie to help manage the growing operation. What had been a one-man shop expanded into a fleet of four delivery trucks and three salespeople, serving body shops, independent repair facilities, and retail customers across Northern California. Laurie took charge of the office, handling billing, customer accounts, and making sure every customer — whether a collision center placing a bulk order or a weekend DIYer looking for a single part — received the same level of care.

Over the years, the business expanded well beyond repair services. Shops and enthusiasts from across the region began calling not just for repairs, but to source hard-to-find OEM and aftermarket parts. The parts side of the business grew naturally — built on the same trust and expertise that made the repair shop successful.

After three decades in the business, Lee recognized that the future of auto parts was online. European Wholesale Parts evolved from a brick-and-mortar repair shop and parts counter into a modern online marketplace, now serving mechanics, collision centers, and DIY enthusiasts nationwide.
